Euphoria 2017

In the fast-paced, ever-changing music business that exists today, it’s essential for music festivals to have a name which will remain relevant and not be easily forgotten. This results in festivals being named all sorts of names. Some are random, made-up words, such as Lollapalooza and BUKU, while others attempt to highlight certain aspects of what attendees will experience, such as Austin City Limits and Gem & Jam. Of the thirteen different music festivals I’ve been to, Euphoria is the most appropriately named.

The word euphoria is defined by the Merriam-Webster Dictionary as “a feeling of well-being or elation”, and that was exactly how I felt the entire time I was at Euphoria this year. In fact, that’s exactly how I feel about the past two years I attended Euphoria as well.

Euphoria is an incredible festival. Everything about it, from its location, which is Carson Creek Ranch in Austin, Texas, to the art, including a gallery, installations, and live painters, to the actual musical performances, all combine to create an experience, not just a music festival. Although all of the different features that Euphoria provides its attendees with are amazing, my favorite part about Euphoria is the people that attend the festival. There must be something in the water at Euphoria, because it has the most friendly and uplifting crowd of every music festival I’ve been to. Every single year I’ve gone I’ve met the most amazing people and made so many new friends, while continuing to have an awesome time with my old friends, and for that I will always treasure my experiences at Euphoria. Here are few photos of some, but not all, of the people that made my Euphoria 2017 experience unforgettable:

Although these aren’t all of the people who made my Euphoria 2017 experience memorable, these are the majority. This year’s Euphoria wouldn’t have been the same without them and I’m so happy that they were a part of my experience.
