Music festival series: Something Wicked

For me, an ideal holiday celebration involves attending a concert or music festival. For Halloween last year, I did just that by attending Something Wicked.

Something Wicked is a festival held the weekend before Halloween in Houston, TX. Like Sun City, it was created by Disco Donnie Presents, which means that once again, I attended a festival for free. While this was a perk of going to the festival, I was again attending a festival where the grounds did not have the additional features, like art installations, I look forward to at the festivals I attend. However, Something Wicked did have something more than Sun City.

The something more that Something Wicked had was its atmosphere. There must have been something in the water at this festival, because every single person there was clearly having a great time. No matter where I looked, there were smiles around and I couldn’t help but return them. For this reason, I’ve decided to attend Something Wicked for the second time this year, and I can’t wait.
